Music is something embedded in our hearts and souls. Especially from the ones, we get hooked on! The same goes for Jackson Wang, the top-notch Songwriter, and singer from GOT7, and a businessman for music too. I became a diehard fan of his music from the very first song PAPILLION, which he sang back in 2017.

Jackson Wang, the most renowned singer and member of the Korean music industry brought this unique concept of artistic and aesthetic feel into the Music and video industry.

Familiarising the industry with the Luscious and alluring style of Describing a Romantic Historic concept in Music words and embedding the artistic feel in Videos.

100 Ways; An extremely artistic style choice from the director and team working with Jackson, and it definitely paid off. I was not expecting such simplicity and elegance combining to produce such powerful imagery that complements Jackson’s stage

Let me give my Personalized Review On this elite Music Video.

The lyrics of this song are so precious that even a rock could melt from such mushy words. Then comes the Video, No I should say: THe whole historic drama in such a short clip. It is so soothing.

As the lyrics go like:

You turn over the hourglass

The sand is falling down

Oh, it’s too fast for you

For you

Don’t waste your love, just let it last

’Cause once it’s gone it’s never coming back

It’s true

Could you love me the same?

Tell me what makes you stay

There’s a hundred ways to leave a lover

Leave a lover, leave a lover

Hundred ways to leave a lover

Leave a lover, leave a

There’s a hundred ways to leave a lover

I won’t wait a minute longer

Hundred ways to leave

But I’m the only one that you need

It’s the final curtain call

But if you’re ready I will give my all

For you, for you

Let them say it how they want

If I can love you good, it’s no one’s fault

Ooh

Could you love me the same?

Tell me what makes you stay

There’s a hundred ways to leave a lover

Leave a lover, leave a lover

Hundred ways to leave a lover

Leave a lover, leave a

There’s a hundred ways to leave a lover

I won’t wait a minute longer

Hundred ways to leave

But I’m the only one that you need

I’m the only one that you need

I’m the only one that you need

I’m the only one that you need

There’s a hundred ways to leave a lover

Leave a lover, leave a lover

Hundred ways to leave a lover

Leave a lover, leave a

There’s a hundred ways to leave a lover

I won’t wait a minute longer

Hundred ways to leave

But I’m the only one that you need

I’m the only one that you need

I’m the only one that you need

What is the Historic story hidden behind these majestic words?

The choreography of the music video revolves around the love warrior who is keen on reuniting his lover .(who died a thousand years ago!)

These lyrics have a huge fraction of history embedded in them. In Chinese History, soulmates promise to live and die together. They promise to live after their death.

It’s a tradition for old Chinese people of wealth to bury their loved ones in beautiful locations to help the soul move on to an equally beautiful place in the afterlife. In ancient times, A man: the main character (Jackson Wang) fell for a girl. At the same time, the Prince of that era also fell for her. The Price Killed Jackson, and he was buried in an unmarked grave, maybe he was low born.

On the other side, The girl was buried under the roots of a maple tree. In China, maple is associated with honor. Since they were buried separately, As he said, I won’t wait a minute longer.

Jackson Wang arises from his grave. Since he had already waited enough for years, He was in the quest to find her grave and be buried with her since he loved her so much and they couldn’t be buried together before.

As Jackson said,

But if you’re ready I will give my all

His subordinates help him rise from the grave and find his lover’s grave. Then he does those Extremely beautiful and killing gestures to get her out of the grave. If she is willing those gestures to prove to be right. Finally, The Girl arises from her grave and they unite.

The Historic Drama in Just One Go is so Amazing!

I find this 100 ways mv of his to be one of the most amazing and interesting ones he has ever done. The Hand Gestures, the transition of lightning, the falling leaves, the magical dance, the background, and finally the music, all these make it the perfect combination an album could have!

As the video proceeds further, more curiosity arises as the creative elements make it more groovy. The Lethal style of Jackson Wang speaks itself.

From the very start, as the camera moves through the foggy ground, it gives a dark but ancient feel. Then the way the warriors put armor on Jackson was just so fine.

The way the lovers dance magically in front of a Maple tree with scattered leaves in the ground, and their direction of moves, make the mv even more engaging.

Conclusion

All in all this mv shows how hard Jackson pushed his limits for it.

Jackson is one of the very few artists who want to create his own thing and do what he likes, instead of following trends that will make him popular in an instant. Jackson has so many sides to him that he is finally showing to us and we’re living for it.

Jackson as he currently is is criminally underrated. In his own words, he wanted folks to see his growth and trajectory with each subsequent release and I think he’s achieved that. I love love love 100 ways and it’s his best thus far.

Given his progress, I am certain it’s not his limit. I hope he keeps working with Daniel Cloud campus. His artistic vision works very well with Jackson’s.
